Aprendizaje de respuestas de forrajeo colectivo: un enfoque de descripción y simulación

Abstract
Collective foraging data were analyzed and simulated with two objectives: 1) to test if a learning process is involved in the determination of the use of collective foraging responses and 2) to examine the weight of learning over the observed response patterns. Specifically, two strategies were used: 1) a combination of exponential functions was fitted to a data set; 2) the data generated by different return rules were contrasted against the patterns observed in the real data. The trends observed in the data were well described by a combination of exponential functions and these trends were reasonably simulated by a substitution process with a low rate of return. The results show that a learning process influences the use of collective foraging responses and its impact can be assessed through the techniques used here.
