Cognitive Challenges in the Age of AI:Reflections from Psychological Research
Main Article Content
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed various social and scientific processes, including psychological research. While its use optimizes tasks such as information search, data analysis, and academic writing, it also poses significant cognitive challenges, especially for researchers in training. This essay critically reflects on the benefits and risks associated with the use of AI in research, highlighting potential impacts on reasoning, decision-making, and critical thinking. Based on this analysis, an educational proposal is made aimed at strengthening key cognitive skills, with the aim of promoting a conscious, ethical, and responsible integration of AI into psychological research.
