Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper arises from the experience gained in the psychological intervention with children in a public elementary school in Culiacan Sinaloa, Mexico, during the 2012-2013 school year. The aim was to identify the manifestations of grief in children in the school context, through the discourse of classroom teachers and both individual and group psychological intervention with children. Psychoanalysis is the theoretical reference, while the speech of the subjects was analyzed qualitatively. The data collection techniques consisted of interviews and a questionnaire applied to 11 classroom teachers and relatives of children , as well as psychoanalytically oriented intervention devices aimed at children, such as drawing, modeling clay, play, storytelling and representation by puppets, which allowed them to name, write and build stories. The main manifestations of grief in children who were found in this investigation were aggression, inhibition, isolation, sadness, school absences and hyperactivity.
