Un estudio de caso sobre condiciones laborales y efectos psicosociales en el personal médico y de enfermería adscrito al servicio de urgencias

Abstract
This article is the result of a descriptive case study about the relation between psychosocial effects and working conditions of a medical emergency service in a public health institution in the city of Querétaro, México. The research carried on allowed to analize the potentially harmful conditions for the health and well-being of the nursing staff and doctors assigned to the emergency service. It was possible thanks to the use of depth interviews with the personnel mentioned and nonparticipant observation, as part of a qualitative study. The results obtained are analyzed through a group of categories such as violence, exploitation, gender discrimination, migration, stress, overdemand of the service and support networks. The psychosociology theoretical approach allowed to appoint the existance of an evident precarization of the working conditions and, as a result, the emergence of negative psychosocial effects in the personnel of the emergency service
